The center link was right where the pan needed to be so I called Mike about dropping the center link. He said I could cut and box the pan, and possibly lower the steering box and idler arm. The headers would hit the shaft and I think (and he agreed) modifying the pan would restrict oil flow. My chassis builder suggested a rack and pinion set up, and that is what we are going to do. I pulled the column and the rack and pinion shaft will have two joints to snake it out of the headers way.
