65 Dual Quad Super Wildcat

Here is my very unique 65 Wildcat custom 2 door hardtop. It was special ordered with the optional A-8 425 dual quad Super Wildcat engine and all the goodies by a southern California Buick dealership for use as a demonstrater. Then after only six months of short test drives the sales manager bought it for his personal ride. I got it from his family after it passed on to them. I even recieved the original new car registration certificate showing the dealership as the registered owners.

Being a dealer demo, it was loaded up with all the power options that were available including; steering, brakes, windows, seat, antenna, and trunk release. It also has a turbo 400 automatic with floor shifter, bucket seats, full console with tachometer, original am/fm with rear seat speaker, tilt steering, air conditioning, tinted windows, cruise control, speedwarning, remote door mirror, deluxe beltline and lower body moldings, rallye road wheels, deluxe seat belts with retractors, back-up lights, and the rare cornering lights.

According to the 1965 Wildcat production spreadsheet (availabe for viewing at the Buick Club of America website), Buick only put the 2x4 Super Wildcat engine package into 260 Wildcat Custom hardtops in 1965.

This particular car is the only one equipped with this combination of colors and options that was built.
