1967 Buick Electra 225
James McDonall's 1967 Buick Electra 225

We found this original wonder back in May of this year. Since then we've done a couple of small things, tuned 'er up and detailed til we were giddy. The story is...

This 1967 Buick Electra 225, 4 door Hardtop was the 402nd of 40,978 manufactured in 1967. It was built at the Buick facility at Flint Michigan and was first sold to Mr. Orlo Harris at Calgary Motor Products in Calgary, Alberta. Mr Harris used it for long trips—to places such as Toronto, Parry Sound, Reno, Sacramento, and San Diego, to name but a few. He drove the car approximately 46,000 miles until for reasons of health he was forced to park it in 1974.

Title transferred to Mr Matthew Shafer, also of Calgary, in 1993. Matthew owned the car until May of this year, using it sparingly for day trips and family occasions until it was sold to its current owner, James McDonall.

At time of printing, the car has slightly over 56,000 original miles on it. Since June it has undergone the barest essential mechanical and cosmetic adjustments to return it to its original and natural state. The paint, interior and glass are all original. The tires are new, having been switched to radials for reasons of safety only. Even so, the original Bias Ply tires are still on hand and available for use. All aftermarket options are original and fully functional.

The car has a Buick 430 V8 engine with horsepower rated 360 @ 4400 rpm. Torque is 475 @ 2800 rpm. Curb weight is 4629 pounds.

Hope you like the photos as much as I love the car.
James McDonall
